Zalacaín (Alvarez de Baena 4, Madrid) – located near La Castellana boulevard, this restaurant, which opened in 1973 and received accolades from both Michelin and Gournetour, serves a number of Basque and French delicacies. Dishes served there includes manita de cerdo rellena de setas (pigs’ feet stuffed with wild mushrooms), ostras con caviar y gelatina de jerez (oysters with caviar and sherry jelly), and ravioli relleno de foie gras y trufas (ravioli stuffed with foie gras and truffles). Reservations are required, and men will need a jacket & tie.
