Temple of Debod (Jardines del Templo de Debod, Calle Ferraz 1, Madrid) — donated by the Egyptian government for Spain’s help with saving the temples of Abu Simbel in southern Egypt, the Temple of Debod was rebuilt at the Parque del Oeste (near the Royal Palace of Madrid) and opened to the public in 1972. This is the only such Ancient Egyptian structure that exists in Spain. Admission: free. Hours: (From Oct. 1st to March 31st) 9:45 am – 1:45 pm & 4:15 pm – 6:15 pm (Tuesdays to Fridays), 9:30 am – 8:00 pm (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). (From April 1st to Sept. 30th) 10:00 am – 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Tuesdays to Fridays), 9:30 am – 8:00 pm (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). Special hours during the month of August: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Note: due to space limitations and security reasons, a maximum of 60 visitors are permitted into the Temple areas at the same time.
