Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia
Sagrada Familia (Calle Mallorca 401, Barcelona) – this is a large Catholic church, designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. This is one of Gaudí’s most famous works in Barcelona. It’s a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 (that’s not a typing error!) and it’s not expected to be completed for between 30 to 80 years. The building is still under construction so be prepared to see a lot of work continuing when you visit. However this in itself is interesting, especially if you visit the museum inside the building. Of course, its unusual-looking towers are an attraction unto themselves. Admission: €14.80 (Basilica), €19.30 (Basilica + Towers), €6.80 (Gaudí House Museum), €18.30 (Basilica + Gaudí House Museum). Hours: 9:00 am – 8:00 pm (Basilica). Schedule for towers subject to availability (adverse weather conditions – elevators may be closed due to heavy rain and/or strong winds).
