Metro

Metro
Metro (train & bus) (Barcelona): like Madrid, Barcelona has an efficient underground Metro (subway) service, run by Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB), which also runs the city’s bus service. Depending on the train line, they run until 11 pm or midnight. The Metro’s trains runs above ground in the outer lying suburbs. The Barcelona Metro has 11 lines with 163 stations.
The single fare (for both the Metro and buses) is €2, and there are other Metro tickets available (such as T50/30 cards – which for €39.20 covers 50 rides within a 30-day period, and something called a “T-Mes” card – which for €52.75 provides unlimited travel within a 30-day period). In addition, there are Metro tickets that tourists can take advantage of. For them, there are multi-day travel cards, that range from 2-day cards (€13.40) to 5-day cards (€29) – that are good for unlimited travel during the lifetime of the card.
