La Malagueta
La Malagueta (Paseo de Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Málaga) – this is a local beach, not far from downtown Málaga. The sand there is dark and coarse, unlike white sand beaches elsewhere. Due to its location, it gets crowded on weekends. Nevertheless, there are a number of seaside restaurants and chiringuitos (beach bars) nearby and is also a nice area for a stroll.
