Joy Eslava (Calle Arenal 11, Madrid) – housed within a converted theater, this club has existed in the 1980s, and is still going strong. Since it’s a walk away from popular tourist gathering places like Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol, the crowd is a mix of foreign visitors and locals. The music ranges from electronic House to 80s pop & New Wave, with some Latin music as well. There are also occasional live musical acts as well.
