Casa Botin (Calle Cuchilleros 17, Madrid) – opened in 1725, this Madrid restaurant is reputed to be one of the oldest in the world. Two specialties this restaurant offers are the roast suckling pig and roast baby lamb — both roasted slowly in a wood-fired oven. Along with those dishes, dessert items worth trying are the San Isidro Strawberries (served with slices of apples and cream), and the hot apple tartlet.
